Douglas Hoff

Douglas Hoff is a South Dakota rancher and author. He is the founder of Hoffs Scotch Cap Angus Ranch and founder of Angus America (half sold to Cargill). He was named Livestock Industry Man of the Year.

He never had aspirations to be an author, but when researching his wife's family history, he uncovered the extraordinary story of Anna Ingevich — his wife's grandmother — and felt compelled to memorialize it for future generations.

The research took several years and resulted in the Honoring Anna trilogy — a sweeping, true-life saga spanning three generations of Norwegian immigrants who homesteaded the Dakota prairie.
